CCIE

So this week my CCIE package arrived along with this little beauty.

Well I’ve decided to take on the CCIE SP next.

Well since passing my CCIE R&S I’ve been sat at the crossroads of where to go to next.

As a follow up to my last post here on my CCIE lab failure… or so I thought.

Well since getting the result of my 3rd lab attempt (FAIL for those that haven’t already seen) I’ve spent the rest of the week getting on with my normal day-to-day but also considering where did I go wrong?

I’ve been quiet on here since my last attempt but yesterday I once again made the trip to the Lab in Brussels….

What do you mean I don’t get anything for a full set?

Well it’s almost time to take the plunge again and go for another attempt at the CCIE R&S Lab exam.

Well my seat and travel etc is all booked for my second attempt at the R&S lab.

Well last week I went over to Brussels to take my first lab attempt.

Well today I got the confirmation through from Cisco that my lab attempt has been paid for and therefore there is no turning back now!

Last Friday I finished the 10-day R&S bootcamp from the guys over at INE and I just though that I would post a few words about the overall experience.

One week down?

Well tomorrow I’ll be jumping on a train down to London to take part in the INE 10-day CCIE bootcamp with Brian Dennis.

Tonight I have made the plunge and booked a lab date to make my first attempt at the CCIE R&S lab over in Brussels.

Over the past couple of days I have reviewed the remainder of the INE Advanced Technology videos that I felt that I needed to brush up on.

Back when I passed my CCIE written last year I had the momentum behind me and felt that I would be able to study for and take my first attempt at the lab in only a few months.

Before christmas I started my way through the INE Vol1 advanced tech labs and got through the first couple of books, I think I was at RIP.

Well all that studying seems to have payed off a little, today I sat the CCIE R&S Written exam (350-001) and passed it!

With under a week to go until my CCIE written test it’s time to go over my notes and get some of them written up to get them fresh in my mind.

I have finally finished my first read through of the CCIE R&S Written OCG and now is time to lab out some of my weaker points, read through a pile of RFC’s and then eventually book and take the exam.

Over the past week or so I have been going over FRTS for my CCIE studies.

I have been a little quiet on the blogging front for a while, the reason being I have recently taken on some more responsibilities at work and have also decided to knuckle down and finish my CCIP.
