CCIP done…. CCIE here I come!
I have been a little quiet on the blogging front for a while, the reason being I have recently taken on some more responsibilities at work and have also decided to knuckle down and finish my CCIP.
A little over a week ago now I completed my CCIP by doing the QoS exam which I have to say was quite refreshing, I had thoughts in my head that it was going to be a lot worse than it actually was.
Now that I have completed my CCIP I have already started on the way to study for CCIE written and in-fact had already started to read the OCG for it as I finished the QoS cert guide a few months ago.
In terms of reading material I will be using a combination of:
- CCIE Routing and Switching certification guide [Odom]
- CCIE Routing and Switching exam quick reference [Anthony Sequeira]
- Routing TCP/IP, Volume II [Doyle / Carroll]
Alongside these I will also be doing some Dynamips labs for some of the areas that I am a little thin on (for details on my dynamips setup please see earlier posts here and here)
Whilst studying I will try and post some notes (mainly for my own use but someone else may find them helpful) and also do some lab examples.
Thanks to all the support and assistance I have received over twitter and other places during my studies, without you I would not be where I am now.
